Rude behavior in Korea

When visiting Korea, it is important to avoid being impolite or rude.

Below you will read about some behaviors to avoid and some rules to follow.

There are many rude behaviors in Korea.

First, don't stick chopsticks in rice.

In traditional Asian culture people think this behavior is rude to thr spirits of their ancestors.

If you don't want to have a bitter experience, you shoudn't stick chopsticks in rice.

Second, don't write names in red ink, by doing that it means they will die soon or you want them to die.

So you shouldn't write names in red ink.

Last it's rude to wear shoes in someone's house and some Korean restaurants.

The Korean style is usually centred around or close to the floor.

You should check or ask them if you should remove your shoes or not.
